On Wednesday, May 21st, when we arrived in Croatia, a bus was waiting for us to go in Slovenia and our friends Turks were present to welcome us, but in the bus I didn’t speak because I was ashamed of my accent while everybody has a different accent. Arriving at destination at about 10 pm, I met my host family, I was really under stress! I was afraid that the family does not accept me … But the first time when I saw Iza, my correspondent, I felt at once comfortable:)
The following morning we early get up because we had many things to do. We went out like tourists to visit the capital, Ljubljana. That is when everybody got acquainted. We visited at first the capital ( the morning) then Piran (after noon), for lunch we ate in a restaurant which proposed specialities. In first we ate ravioli to the cheese, after, cabbage, mashed potatoes, the lamb for main course and an apple cake for dessert. It was rather special.
In Piran (coastal city), we have to visit a farm of fish, and at the end of the day we had half an hour of spare time, thus with Iza, Izidor, Jonas, Roman and victor went to eat a pizza but by ordering, we had not calculate the cooking time of pizzas, as a result, when pizzas arrived it stayed approximately 5 minutes to eat them, it was the track race we have a lot laughs, it was very funny!! ^^ Izidor, who had taken a salad, had to put all the parts of pizza in its plate then we ran towards the bus x) on the way back, we had so much fun! We returned at about 11 pm.
Much laughter on the way back with Serkan, Hazal, Kubra, Dévy, Maureen and Yvet and me ^^
The second day, we went to the high school for the presentations which we had prepared on our high school as well as on our island. In our arrival, our correspondents made us discover their high school. Their high school is really different from ours! Over there, they are in slippers, to protect the floor and to feel comfortable. Length corridors remind the American high school which we see in movies it is too great:) After the visit, every country made the presentation then we went at the cafeteria at 10:30 am. Then we made the debate on wind turbines.
After noon, at the high school they had activities. Fortunately for us, this day there were the young people of the high school who danced in the street, on the place(square). They danced jaive, tango, traditional dances… it was really brilliant!!!! After the dance we left screwed spade we played volleyball, took photos, I took it with Izidor a lot! I adore him he is too funny:D we laugh all the time with him! In the evening, we all found ourselves in a club we have a lot to dance! I obliged Serkan to dance because he hates that, and it was great!!!!!!!!
The third day (the last one 😦 ), we had various activities: volleyball, dance, basketball badminton, drawing.. Each had to choose his activity. Dévy and I chose dance. Our workshop consisted in learning a traditional dance! It was too funny! At the end of the workshop, we had to show to everybody what we had learnt. It was great to share this moment with everybody! At the end the dance, the workshop drawing, made us a surprise: they made a fresco on the wall of the high school representing all the countries of the Comenius project. I was really moved because it is at this moment there that we realized that we leave all this within less than 24 hours …
After noon, we went to Izidor’s place for a picnic. The meal was completely different. It enormously reminded me the French cuisine with regard to the menu, the atmosphere, the climate I was so good, I liked feeling beams of the sun on my skin without transpiring, the heat was not the same, here in Reunion the heat is heavy, stifling, it pricks the skin while over there, we feel the heat but we inhale, we have this small breeze on the face confused with the beams of the sun. It is the sensation that I had not smelt for a very long time. As when I was a child, to make barbecue in the garden with seasonal fruits.
After this haughtiness after noon, Iza and I went to get ready for evening. Because at the end of stay the teachers organized one evening between teachers and students. We are all to burst! Has 21 hours Mrs Gorlot, our teacher made us a joke: she told us that at 9:30 pm a bus was going to pick us up(to come to find us) Dévy and I to bring in(to return) … Évidement, us, one became great sad one had limit envy to cry… But at 9:30 pm, our professor told us that it was a joke. At this moment Dévy and I were the happiest of the world it was not very funny for us but Mrs Gorlot has well laughs ^^ on cost of 2 am in the morning, Iza and I let us let us be brought in to prepare my suitcase because I had to take planes at 5:30 am …
I have to try to say goodbye to most possible world.. I have of to sleep 1 hour has punishment(effort) then I have to prepare my suitcase. Them of the departure arrival I was not good, not well whole I did not really want to leave! In the point of produce you to take the bus to go to the airport, we all said goodbye to each other.. Dévy and I really wanted to cry and I said to Dévy do not cry I you for it suppli, otherwise I am going to cry.. But she cried and I cried. I said goodbye to my friends, in tears, we took ourselves in arms and everybody cried. It was really very very very hard until in the plane I still cried..
Be a member of the project, even if it was only for short moment, was the most beautiful experience of my life, to share these moments with people of different countries is really exceptional! And it tempted me to travel even more, to learn more languages…
My best with Serkan, Izidor, Hazal, Iza, kubra and Antonella ❤ i love them !!! a LOOOT
I really thank everybody for EVERYTHING! I really liked living with you during 1 week. Thanks to Iza and her family for its welcome I could never forget you.
